Developement

These trials are rough and unfinished, and there's a lot to be desired within them, however I am satisfied with the direction that my ideas are starting to take. I find the concepts and beginning to tackle interesting and engaging, although there is still a lot for me to understand which I believe I can achieve through further research. I want to consider the good and bad involved in these ideas. The historical factors in topic would be fascinating to learn about and in the future I want to explore the contrast between the freedom and entrapment that are constructed identity supplies us with. The ideas of the outward versus the inward reminiscent to the ideas of real versus the virtual which we have been thinking about in class. Another factor that I've been thinking about is what defines us as people, are we defined by what other people see off you (the real) or is it something else (the virtual self). Thinking about identity as something marketable, that can be bought and sold, is something that I would like to explore a little more visually to refine this idea (people in bottles, picking as though sorting through a selection of cheap perfumes).
